Defensive Driving Class
February Class Schedule:
The goal of the class is to provide drivers with collision prevention
techniques and promote attitudes of mutual understanding, courtesy, and
cooperation with others on the road.
We offer the National Safety Council certified eight-hour Defensive Driving Course (DDC-8),
which is approved by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles and accepted by Virginia Courts.
Our staff includes the National Safety Council's 2009 DDC-8 Instructor of the Year. One of only 13 instructors chosen from a field of over 9000 instructors worldwide.
All of our Instructors are National Safety Council certified to teach the DDC-8 course.
We also have NSC certified Instructor Trainers.
Upon successful completion of the class, students will receive a National
Safety Council Certificate of Completion. This may earn the individual up
to 5 ‘safe’ driving points, which may offset demerits received for traffic
violations, and/or satisfy a court requirement for attendance. Some
insurance companies give reduced car insurance rates to drivers
successfully completing the course.
Students must take and complete a 50 question, multiple-choice test at the
end of the 8-hour session. The course objective is to answer 80 percent of
the questions correctly.
